About Laura Lawrence

Laura Lawrence always had an interest in faith-filled conversations, even as a young girl at the dinner table with her family. Heaven was a place she'd hope to go to but never knew for sure if she would be good enough to go. Shy and keeping mostly to herself, writing poetry helped to express inner feelings of loneliness and depression throughout high school. A decade later, her brother past away, though happily married with three children struggled with finding inner peace. One night during a devotional reading in Ephesians 2:8 everything changed. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast" The words seemed to light up the page and eliminate her heart. For the first time in her life, she knew she would go to Heaven, not because of what she had done, but because of what Jesus already did. Serving the Lord in the Church became her heart's desire. 14 years later after a short conversation with a neighbor, she heard about a Bible class being taught in the nearby school. One thing led to another and a year later in 2014 became Discovery Time Director for Child Evangelism Fellowship of Manitoba. Her passion is that people would know as young as possible, the love God has for poured out for them through the work of Jesus Christ.
Laura is the wife of Dale and mother to three children.
