NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE

It’s the 1st summer in our new home & like many others lately we’ve been busy digging, weeding, planting & sowing seeds. We sure wished there were more trees here as they take so long to grow, and we have no idea how long we will stay, if it’s even worth while to, but the Lord spoke to my heart to settle and just go for it! So we are = )

While looking at these majestic skyscrapers, I began to ponder about how everything that this tree is today was already in its tiny little seed form. In Matthew 17:20 Jesus told the disciples. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible” I discovered the word for seed in Greek is “sinapi”, meaning to hurt or sting & I thought, Isn’t that the truth! It takes work to plant! To turn up the soil, remove the weeds, plant the seed then water & care for it as it grows. It’s time consuming but in the end, it is for our enjoyment. Not just mine but all those that see it. The green leaves blow weightlessly in the wind. It’s trunk stands strong & immovable. Then there are all the benefits we do not see that it was made to provide for us like oxygen, shade & shelter for all creation. And it all began with a tiny little seed. “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see it begin” Zechariah 4:10

What are the tasks before you? It may seem like work & you may wonder if it’s worth it but if you keep the end result in mind, I bet it makes you smile. Matthew 13:31 also says, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed…” Your faith is like a seed. Put your trust in Jesus & rest in His promise that Nothing is impossible for the Supreme Divinity. The seemingly hard thing you need to do today will eventually produce good results. Philippians 1:6 He who begun a good work in you will bring it to completion. When you are faithful in your part, He will bring it to it’s desired end for all that is needed is already there.
